If I were you I would go with CRKTs line up, some of which can be found at Wal-Mart or most outdoors type stores. They are well made, sharp and will fit in your price range. The one you have your eye on is a great choice.

If you don’t like to sharpen a knife try this one.http://www.knivesplus.com/gerberknifegb-…
I have one and it’s light and makes a good all around work knife.
If it get dull trash the blade and insert another one.
It takes normal box knife blades that you can get anywhere.
I got mine at Wal-Mart for around $10.00.

Smith & Wesson SWAT Folders. They come in different sizes, and with different blade types. I have had mine for 3 or 4 years with absolutly no problems.http://myknifestore.net/sw-knives-c-35.h…

Try the Schrade Brand of Knives, they’re really sharp, they’re between $30 and $60 and they are tough and good looking. I have one, and it is probably the best knife I own, next to my K-Bar of course.

I think you should get a Boker Magnum tanto folder with top lock. I may be a little biased tho.

if they are available in the US, buy an Opinel. Cheap, so no big deal when you lose it, and hold an edge like a razor. just make sure that you get a carbon steel one rather than stainless. Not too pretty, but a good working knife

One of those mildly serrated butter knives.

Or you could go to Wal-Mart and buy yourself a cheap 99 cent lock-back. Its sharp serrated and fairly tough. If it breaks you got a dollar don’t you then get another.
The drawback is it does require occasional honing and the blade is only about 3 in. The handle is plastic and could break but I have wedged this little knife into a crevice and held myself off the ground with it trying to pry apart the metal…I’m only 160 but hell its only a dollar knife
