How long is USMC Marine Combat Training (MCT)?
Does anyone know how long it is? I found somewhere that it's about a month long but I'm not sure.
Marine Combat Training is a 22-day course in which entry level Marines are taught the common skills needed in combat. While at Marine Combat Training Battalion every Marine will learn the basics of Combat Marksmanship, Grenades, the M203 Grenade Launcher, AT-4 Rocket Launcher, M240G Medium Machine Gun, Improvised Explosive Devices, Defending a Position, Convoy Operations, Combat Formations, Fireteam Assaults, Patrolling, Military Operations on Urban Terrain (MOUT), Communicate with a PRC-119 (radio), Reporting Intel, and Land Navigation. They will also undergo combat conditioning by running the Marine Corps Obstacle Course, conducting hikes, runs and Marine Corps Martial Arts training. Upon completion of Marine Combat Training every Marine will have the knowledge and ability to operate in a combat environment as a basic rifleman.

Knife Engraved
Where can I get get knives that I have already bought engraved with a name on it?
Near Riverside, CA would be best. It is for some guys in my wedding party.
If the object has soft metals - brass, copper, gold, silver etc than any jewler will be able to do it - providing it fits into their vise.
If you want something engraved on the hardened steel blade - that is whole different ball of wax. Now you are looking at either laser or chemical etching - or - enlist the services of a local gunsmith who will refer you to his favorite engraver.
If there is not suitable metal to engrave - you next step is to carve the letter into the soft wood or plastic and inlet it. Again, your gunsmith will be able to recommend someone.

Sharp pain in head and shoulder blade???
For the past week I have the worst pain underneath my right shoulder blade. And for the past 4 days I have been getting a very sharp pain on the right side of my head, above my ear. It only lasts for up to a minute, but its unbearable pain. It comes and goes. Afterwards I am very sore in that spot. It almost feels like there is a knife or something sharp going through my head. It takes my beathe away and everything goes blank while it happens, then I get weak. It has only happend when I bend over or tilt my down down or forward. But its terrible pain. Its not on the outside of my head, it actually feels like something sharp in going through my brain. Could I possibly have a muscle spasm under my shoulder blade and its causing that? The pain from my shoulder blade travels up to my neck. Anyone have any idea what this could be?? I am probably going to the ER as soon as my husband gets home from work. I am really freaked out. Any ideas???
Could be a pinched nerve, they are extremely painful and it is a sharp pain, followed by a sometimes painful tingling sensation that can last for a few minutes. They can happen several times a day, or very sporatically... Good luck.
Meningitis would be accompanied by a very high fever...
