Off hand I would say no. but better safe than sorry. Check with the local or state authorities. There could be some obscure law still on the books somewhere.

Thats a tough one.
In Texas:
“Knife” means any bladed hand instrument that is capable
of inflicting serious bodily injury or death by cutting or
stabbing a person with the instrument.
So the slotted (flat head) screwdriver is a knife…
It comes down to 2 things at the time of the stop.
1 – does the knife fit the purpose you tell the officer?
2 – does the officer believe you
Example:
6 inch fixed blade knife while walking down the street will will most likely get you in trouble
The same knife while hunting game would be reasonable
On you own private property you could mot likely carry a sword and get away with it unless swords are illegal.
Read your home state statutes and see.

a pocket knife like the model 110, or a fixed blade?
i certainly hope you don’t need a permit for a pocket knife, especially on private property, hunting season or not.
if you do, you should move. i carry at least two at all times, a benchmade model 940 in my left pocket, and an older style cold steel zytel-handled ti-lite in the right.
here, i’m allowed to carry fixed blades in public, as long as they’re not “weapons”, and aren’t concealed, but i only do that on sundays.

Not in Illinois but possibly some jurisdictions are extremely strict.
It would really be a sad state of affiars if we have to get licensed to carry a hunting knife while hunting. Having said that, the United Kingdom has very strict felony knife laws. There has been a large incresase in killings with knives in the UK. Course they dont have any gun crimes because those are basically outlawed. Soooooo….. I guess maybe it IS people that kill and not just the weapon.

Usually, you do not need a permit to carry a knife while you are hunting but it really depends on you state laws. However, state laws may consider it a concealed weapon and if they find it if they pull you over, u could go to jail and come off with having to do probation. In florida, the knife has to be a blade length less than 6″
