There are better options. Go to a restaurant supply store and ask to see their quality kitchen knives. Buy a good set. Expect to spend some serious money for a good set but they will last forever, keep a sharp edge longer and are made for the specific uses in the kitchen.
Ever Use Your Equipment For Things Other Than Hunting.?
So it was 9:30 at night and everyone had eaten dinner but me.I heated up a steak, only to try cutting it with about 4 different knives from the drawer. They were all too wimpy, dull, small,or a combination of the three. Finally I said the hell with it and sliced that whole steak up in seconds with my 7 inch blade bowie knife.I'm thinking of buying another one just for the kitchen.

I used to be a lecturer and I would use caliber vs mm to explain consumer price index calculation.
Using gun calibers to remember room numbers. Gun manufacturers to remember people’s names .

I used my ear-plugs in the office
Now that I think about it I am going to start using my bore-sighter as a pointer
Now ask me about all the times I have used stuff I was not supposed to for hunting. If my mom did not want me to use her scissors to clean game she should not have left them in her sewing room in a drawer under some cloth where anyone could find it.
And what are you supposed to do when you run out of cleaning patches?
What is so funny about going to an arts and crafts store to get wax for wax bullets felt for lining pelts and dolls eyes and styrofoam for stuffing animals?

Spotting scopes made for a second hobby. Sometimes it was cool to just go up along a mountain ridge that looks down into a canyon and look at deer and elk with the spotting scopes.

LOL, some of the good thoughts that question brought up. Unfortunately my wife doesn’t understand some of those decisions… so out they went with my bachelor-ness!
