Is this a good deal on a pocket knife?

I just lost my 3.6 inch blade pocket knife and i want a new one, so i was looking at dick's sporting goods and they had a 3.5 inch blade for $30. I had bought mine for $12 at some fantasy place. Does anyone know if dick's sells good quality knives?

Gerber makes a good knife as long as you don't need an extremely sharp edge. They are well-balanced and are pretty durable (I've had mine for two years and beat the hell out of it, no problems). The only thing is most of the blades are really thick and don't take a really sharp edge. Personally I would suggest a Kershaw. They take really sharp edge and stay sharp for a while. I have a Kershaw Vapor ($30) and it one of the most well-made knives I have ever owned.
