How to become Union in our fire dept?

I work for a local fire dept about 10min west of Orlando Fl. Currently our Dept is not Union. I would like to know where I can find information about getting the ball rolling in the direction of joining the IAFF.

it's not that hard. you need to call the nearest IAFF office and ask what local union has jurisdiction for your area. then you call that office and ask for the organizing department. tell the organizer that you want to have the IAFF represent you. they will walk you thru the rest of the process.
