Firefighter Knife
What should I put in my turn out gear?
I just got my turn out gear and right off the bat my officers started handing us miscellaneous items they said would come in handy. I'm wondering if any firefighters can speak with wisdom or personal experience on what else I should add that might come in handy or save my life.
Here's what I have or am going to get:
- Paper towels in a bag (toilet paper?)
- Rubber medical gloves with an alcohol swab
- A wooden wedge for shutting off sprinklers
- and a pocket or utility knife which Anyone should Always have on them.
is there still that tiny roll of duct tape included? add it if not; you'd be amazed how many things you'll use it for. I added the bright pink stuff.
