Hunting Axe

Can you help me interpret a dream?

In the dream I was in a dormitory (though its been a while since I was a backpacker) when I heard a girl yelp and say that she'd just been bitten by a baby crocodile. A hunt then ensued for the offending crocodile, and upon finding it we discovered there were actually two of them. After a bit of a chase we then lost the crocs only to discover them several hours later, sleeping soundly in my bag. I tried to call some kind of animal services helpline but they said they couldn't come and get them for 5 days, and after calling a few numbers I realised that no-one was going to help me and that I had to sort out the issue myself. So I found an axe (handy how these things just appear in your dreams!) and tried to chop one of the crocodiles in two (the other one ran off), but its skin was too dense and I couldn't slice it. I knew that I really had to do something about it so it didn't bite anyone else, so instead of chopping it in two I decided to slice its eyes off instead.
Odd...?!

I'm thinking that the most significant thing in your description is the fact that no matter how many people you called, no one was willing to help. Maybe you're in that sort of situation in your conscious life? Also, the fact that you couldn't slice the crocodile might symbolize struggles that you're trying (possibly failing) to deal with...
