Knife Hunt
What do you think of this hunting knife?
My fiance was saying he needed a new knife for hunting, I dont know much about them but I want to get him one for a gift and this one seems idk quality?
Is it too much knife for what he would need, idk?

Does he need a gut hook thing? Im here so I get him exactly what he needs.
First, that is a fine knife. But, it is more of a survival knife than it is a hunting knife. I suppose if I were hunting bears in Alaska, that is the type of knife I would take along with me.
Next, you really need to ask your fiance what kind of hunting he does the most. If it is small game hunting, then the knife you showed us is just way too big. Also, ask him what kind of knife he has used in the past and what kind of knife he is looking forward to using int he future.
Personally, I prefer a folding knife with a leather sheath to wear on my belt. The makes and models that I like the best are the Buck model 110 Folding Hunter, the Case Shark Tooth and Case Hammerhead (all of these are folding lockbacks with blades that about 4 inches long).
