Knife Mint

By Jeff On December 16, 2009 Under Knife Hunting

Knife Mint
Franklin Mint UH-1B HUEY Vietnam knife?

Franklin Mint Vietnam Veterans Collector's Knife

UH-1B Huey on blade

Representation of the Vietnam Service Ribbon on handle

Also a minted bronze medallion depicting the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Sculpture on handle

Could this be worth anything??????????

$37.50. The knife is mass produced for the Franklin Mint and wouldn't be more than 27 years old at best (the main part of the Vietnam Memorial was completed in '82 so it will be 27 this year). That's not enough time for most of the knives to be lost or destroyed. And even worse, it'd not be older than 25, as the Three Brothers Statute which is depicted in bronze on it was first unvieled in 1984. More importantly, it's still available on their website for sale, making it highly unlikely that it can be worth more than it's selling for there and unlikely to be 25 years old.
