They’re very few really *bad* knives left these days. Today, chances are the best brands you know of are made in the same factories by the same people out of the same materials as the cheaper brands. MTech is one of those. It’s a cheaper brand name….not really cheaper materials or workmanship. It’s mostly fantasy crap, though….sold for looks, not for real use.
If you like it, buy it. Chances are you won’t be too disappointed.
Mtech Knives. Are They Any Good?
I usually stick to knives I know are good quality (Colt, S&W, Buck, etc.) but am curious to know if MTech knives are any good at all. My neighbor wants to sell me a 14' MTech black bowie tactical/hunting knife for $15. It looks and feels good in my hand but I want to hear from people who've owned them first. Any good?

My experiences with M-tech knives is that they are kind of junky. The blade steel they use is decent but the rest of the knife is usually junk. I’ve bought 2 of them before and they are both now letter openers. Blades held up well though even though I’ve totally abused them because they are cheap.
Another thing I don’t like about them is that they are Chinese -made knockoffs and all of their designs are stolen. They have no respect for other people’s designs and just copy whatever they feel like. If a cool looking knife comes out, garaunteed 6 months later M-tech will have something that looks just like it, that is junk and sells for about 10% of the price of the original.
