I want to purchase a shotgun?

I don't plan on doing any hunting with it, but I've been looking at the Remington 870 Tactical shotgun with the 18" barrel. The 870 has been around for years and has an excelent track record. Any advice from the gun inthusiust?
It's going to be used for the local skunks that keep tearing up my lawn looking for grubs and for self protection.

My old 870 is well over 30 years old now. Still as reliable as the day I got it. Great value for the money.
