Deer Hunter

My husband is a Deer Hunter-how can I get his attention?
I, very seductively, asked him if I should put on my Rudolph ears (the headband for christmas) and he can dress up in his orange hunter hat and vest and "capture" me. Why didn't this work?
I dont mean any disrespect, but i would have jumped on that like a hobo on a hot pocket! I like JD's answer, although it kid of defeats the purpose of getting his attention. Just flat out tell him women have needs too.

Field Dressing

When field dressing deer, do I need to remove the musk glands?
Is removing the glands really necessary if I am getting the carcass professionally processed?
NO...Not necessary. The Tarsal glands have a fluid that smells somewhat, but they will not taint the meat if left on prior to processing.. Since your Deer is being processed professionally, I would leave it to the processors to take care of

Hunting Skinning

All-around hunting knife?
What is the best all-around hunting knife style/configuration (i.e. serrated, non-serrated, gut hook, etc)? Fixed blade preferable. I will be skinning/quartering deer and hogs with it.
I realize that a knife can't be all things for all purposes, but what's a close enough multi-tasker?
Thanks, y'all!
I have a Cold Steel Master Hunter and find it to be as close to the perfect hunting as I have found. I do not like serrated edges nor gut hooks because they are too hard to sharpen, especially in the field. My preference is a non-serrated edge on my knife. While a gut hook can be quite helpful, do not get one on a hunting knife. They make one with changable blades that is not bad. I have one of them and carry it with me. It is okay because you don't have to sharpen the blade, when it gets dull, you just change it like you would with a box knife. I have hunted for many years (over 40) and have found that a well made, simple knife with good steel in the blade is the best knife. There are many good knife makers out there, I like Cold Steel, myself.

Wild Deer

TOne of the most revered animals for those who hunt is the whitetail deer. These magnificent animals have been around for a long time and still capture the imagination of both the hunter and the artist alike. Most hunters are also conservationists at heart, and if they hunt deer, then they more than likely work to keep their population up with donations or other conservation efforts. Deer hunters also more than likely like to collect all things that resemble a deer, and this can prove to be profitable revenue for artists of many types. Finding deer items can be as easy as one two click if one takes the time to see what the internet has to offer in the way of deer collectibles.
The human race has always had a fascination with animals. We love them and most of us are no exception. A love of various kinds of animals from dogs to tigers can be found across the planet. One of the most intelligent animals on the planet is the dolphin. These unique animals have been regarded highly by humans for many centuries. The ancient Greeks believed that if dolphins were seen around a ship while they were leaving on a journey, then it was considered a good luck charm. This is just one of the many references in history to these unique mammals that interact with humans in a way that is unique only to them. However, some people have animal preferences that cannot be cuddled. In fact some may never be able to touch their favorite animal at all. Thanks in part to wildlife refugees and places such as Sea World people can come in contact with their favorite animals on a daily basis. For example, for those who love dolphins, they can actually feel these incredible animals at the dolphin tank at Sea World. Loving a dolphin may be hard to understand, but dolphins hold a mystique that is all their own. They are the protectors in the sea, and being in love with this creature can make one have a life long love affair with the dolphins.
So how you ask can a dolphin be a favorite animal? Well, many reasons really. For one, they are extremely playful in both the wild and in captivity. In a world that is chaotic and rarely full of play, dolphins add a charm to that only they can do. They are very friendly to humans even when they are encountered in the wild. If you have ever visited beeches where dolphins swim close to, then you may understand how a dolphin may be considered playful. They play off of the beach and can even come in contact with those who are swimming in the ocean.
Those who love dolphins usually keep them close in many ways even if they do not live on the beach. Unlike a dog or a cat that cuddles with you on a consistent basis, dolphins cannot do this. So, people fill their homes with many reminders that give one a sense of being with their dolphin friends. For example, one can find dolphin jewelry to adorn themselves with or they can also have a variety of ceramic sculptures of these magnificent creatures as decoration in their home.
Anyone can collect dolphin items. Because dolphins are so popular all over the world, the market is filled with wonderful items that can be collected. Everything you can imagine is available. For example, if you love sculpture, then you can find unique coffee tables that have multiple dolphins crafted in a playful gesture as their base. Many think that dolphin art is tacky, but if you look hard enough, you can find great pieces that do not look like dime store art.

Blade Deer

i have a john deer pushmower and it wont start at all, I think its something to do with the oil tank?
I was mowing my lawn and my lawn mower wasnt giving much torch so i thought it needed oil and it did. I put alot of oil in it and then i relized it was to much because my mower wouldnt start. So I sucked some out with a turkey baster and it started and worked fine for a little while but it died out and now it just wont start. Everything is fine with it, theres gas, the blades fine but it just wont start, any ideas?
You may have gotten oil into the air filter air box. The crankcase vent goes there and if you put too much oil in the crankcase it will go out the vent. If your air filter has oil on it change it. Clean up any oil from that area and make sure that the oil level in the crankcase is not over the full mark on the dipstick.
