Folder Folding

Folder Folding
With the baby wraps, does the cloth need to be folder EXACTLY in half?

I am using my Moby Wrap and just getting the hang of it. Does it need to be folded exactly in half? Also, how to keep it folded in half for next time, so I am not always preparing it every time before I am ready to put it on?

I don't think it matters. Babies wiggle so much that no matter how perfect something is at the start, five minutes later it's wrinkeled and uneven. Ever notice little kids with the seam of their pants so far to the side you think it must hurt?! Good thing they have diapers.

Folding Pocket

Folding Pocket

The groom is fortunate when it comes to wedding planning and shopping in that he is not expected to run around and make all the decisions. For some reason this seems to be the bride's role. The bride usually goes crazy picking out everything from the flavor of the filling in the wedding cake to the color of ribbon used on the wedding favors. The groom's role is to be supportive and stand by, offer his opinion when asked and try to keep his bride's sanity intact through the emotional roller coaster of planning a wedding.

Even though the bride and her family have a huge role in the shopping decisions for wedding accessories and deciding on all the little details, the groom has one shopping function that he must do himself and he must do it well. The groom is responsible for selecting and purchasing groomsmen gifts.

Groomsmen gifts? You're new to this whole wedding thing. Many guys don't even know they are supposed to buy groomsmen gifts. These are basically "thank you" gifts to the other guys in the tuxedos at your wedding. Etiquette says it is only proper to thank the best man, ushers and groomsmen in your wedding for their participation and time spent on your wedding. You might expect these close male friends and family to step up and be in your wedding for nothing. But that is not cool.

To be classy you, as the groom, really need to give token gifts of appreciation and offer up a heartfelt thank you to your buddies. Depending on how small or big your wedding is, grooms usually spend anywhere from $20 up to $70. If you're having an extremely lavish event, then your groomsmen gifts should be up there in the $100 or more range. So you can see that a small wedding would require modest gifts and an extravagant one would require equally expensive groomsmen gifts.

Now that you've realized that you need to buy some groomsmen gifts, the next question is what type of items to buy. One surefire item that all men love and can use for years to come is a pocket knife. One brand of knife that is popular and high quality are those made by Buck Knives.

Buck knives have many different categories. Folding hunting knives, fixed blade hunting knives, wood handled pocket knives, metal handle folding knives, fishing knives, outdoor multitools, tactical knives and limited edition collector's models. This wide variety gives you a lot of options. Buck knives also have a wide price range from $20 up to $200+ for collector models. Many times these knives can be engraved on the handle or blade which is a special, finishing touch. A gift recipient is impressed even more with the gift if they see their own name or initials on it.

One last tip in terms of groomsmen gifts is this: do not wait until a week before you wedding to start your quest for gifts. Plan ahead at least one month ahead, two months ahead is better, so that you have time to decide, place your order and get your items delivered. You'll save money on shipping if you give yourself a little time. Otherwise, you'll have to pay rush charges and overnight shipping to get your Buck knives to you at the last minute.

Groomsmen gifts of Buck knives are practical gifts that your buddies will use for years to come. Lisa Gunther is co-owner of Gunther Gifts which offers hundreds of unique groomsmen gifts ideas. Most can be personalized for that extra special touch.

Survival Folding

Survival Folding

If you have extra time to spend with your family and you have little kids with you, camping is a very good option to make. Children and adult alike truly love both adventurous activities and family gatherings. Camping can be the perfect family activity you can plan for; it's fun, inexpensive, and worth all the effort.

When it comes to the perfect camping, all you need to do is to prepare the things that you need. While preparing, you might want to keep your budget in mind so the family won't feel any financial strain whatsoever. You might spend a little now and then but every penny spent will all be worth a smile and the echo of laughter. If you want the most out of your camping, there are two things you can prepare: Camping equipment and camping activities.

Preparing the Camping Gear

If have camping equipment stored somewhere in the house, it's a good sign that you could save more with the activity. Since your budget is limited, buying new stuff might not help, instead it will only add up to your burden in budgeting what your money can afford. There are many options available if buying new camping equipment is a strain. You could try to borrow from your friends or neighbors. If none of them has the necessary equipment, you could try to visit some stores where you could rent some camping materials instead of buying them.

If worse comes to end, don't lose hope. Gather the family and try to think of alternatives and be resourceful. The house is full of materials which you could substitute to the formal camping equipment. You just need to be creative. For example, you could substitute wide tarpaulins for tents. Camping is not a luxurious activity after all. The main objective of the activity is to experience new things with the family gathered as one. Sometimes, the most valuable things in the world can actually come from things that are free.

Preparing the Camping Activities

Unlike other usual activities, camping will explore the survival skills of any person. You get to experience things different from your usual chores. This is the right time to experience fun along with the environment. The family could include activities like swimming, fishing, boating, and making camp fire. This is also the right moment where the family could bond together especially during the fun activities. Think ahead and pack the necessary things for your games or activities.

Safety is also a Priority

Camping equipment should always include safety gears like flashlights, emergency light, bandages, and necessary medicines good for the whole family. Always assess the place where you would like to camp. Make sure that your family is safe to stay in the place. Try to check the weather report since camping is much enjoyable with a fine weather. If a bad weather is expected for the day, it is better to postpone the trip.

Make sure that necessary things are ready for camp and all things are packed before leaving the place. There are lots of good places to camp with which includes lake, forest, hills, and springs. But any place is a great place to camp with as long as the family is gathered as one.

Compact Folding

Compact Folding

For three years, between 1994 and 1997 I lived in a small studio apartment and ran a business out of it. Saying that it was cramped was an understatement. I didn't have room for a chair, much less a piece of workout equipment. Then I discovered the folding exercise bike. I was able to fold it down to a very compact size and store it under my coffee table when it wasn't in use.

I have bought three since then, and have been able to get the best price on them by taking a few easy steps.

First, I consider buying used. A used exercise bike can be a tremendous value because these machines tend to hold their value and are more durable than ellipticals or treadmills. Folding exercise bikes come in several different styles including spinning, magnetic, and dual action. The benefit over a recumbant bike is it's small storage size.

The second rule is to always buy online. Retailers have to pay a distributor and carry a large overhead. Therefore, their markups are usually very high. Online sellers are able to take a much smaller profit and move more units.

Buying direct from the manufacturer is usually the best way to ensure a low price. Schwinn, Lifecycle, and Proform are three of the top manufacturers of folding exercise bikes and all of them sell direct to the consumer. The benefits of buying direct are obvious. You save on shipping because they are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse. Also, you save yourself several markups.

Lastly, look for advertised sales online. Many online retailers of fitness equipment schedule specific days to cut prices dramatically to either boost sales or to move items they may be overstocked on.
