Military Survival
Would the US military obey an order to exterminate a rogue town?

Let's say a small town decided to not obey Executive Orders that they believed would make survival possible...would the military actually kill off such a town? Please be specific, of what might occur, and how Americans might react.
.

Yes...they would. And better yet would think that they are actually doing it for the good of the people. But of course the only thing that the outside public would know is that "they were domestic terrorists"

Yup...lots of fluoride, brainwashing, and 9/11

Dan B...................the US government stopped following the constitution along time ago when Roosevelt instituted his socialist *cough* great deal programs.

Combat Survival

Combat Survival

Nobody wants to deal with fire. Aside from the fact that it can destroy your property, it can also take away lives. In addition, it will leave a scar and traumatic moment for the family.

Homeowners do their best to prevent fire. Most secure their home with various fire safety devices. They install sprinklers, and fire alarms to ensure that they have something to combat the disaster. It is best to have these items installed even if they do not want to use them. This will help stop the fire and will minimize the damage.

No matter how careful a family is, they are still susceptible to fire. Although they do not want to experience it, they have to know what to do when it happens. This is to ensure their survival. Knowing what to do will also save the lives of others.

Below are some of the important things you should do when there is a fire:

1. Inform everyone else

Sound the alarm as soon as you see that there is a fire. If you do not have an alarm at home, yell for everyone to get out. If someone in the family hears you, tell him to do the same and inform the others.

2. Look for fire extinguishers

If the fire has not grown, grab your foam fire extinguisher and try to stop the fire. It is important that you do this before it spreads. You will be able to save the rest of your house if you respond right away. This makes it vital to place your extinguisher or other fire-fighting device in an accessible area.

If you can no longer contain it, take the extinguisher with you and use it to escape. There is no point in trying to use them on the flames if it has gone out of control. Extinguishers have its limits and if you try to insist, you will put yourself in danger.

3. Get out of the establishment

If you are at home, look for the nearest exit. If you have kids, carry them. Keep in mind that you have to get out of there fast. Crawl if the smoke is too much to take. This will prevent suffocation. You can also wet a cloth and put it over your mouth and nose to breathe better.

4. Call for help

If you do not have firefighting devices with you, get away from the area and call for help right away. Yell for someone to bring the foam fire extinguisher in the room and direct another to lead the children out of the house.

If you are alone and you cannot do anything to stop the flames, get out of there and wait for help. Your safety is more important.

5. Check if everyone is out

Once you are out, check if all the members of the family are out. If someone is missing, tell the fire fighters right away so that they can rescue him immediately. You can also give directions of his possible location.

You can remember what to do when there is fire if you are calm. That is why you have to stay focused to guide everyone to safety.

Having specialized in the foam fire extinguishers trade for over 20 years, Brian now works tirelessly to promote affordable fire safety for home and for business.

Law Enforcement

Law Enforcement

Taking up law enforcement training online gives you that extra edge and makes you stand out from other applicants. Here are a few advantages to this form of training:

1. Meeting the demand.

The level of crime has risen dramatically since the golden ages, when everyone was friendly and neighborly and the worst that would happen on any given day was a pickpocket snatching a few coins. But in the past few years it has become increasingly obvious that more people are needed to fight crime and keep the streets safe, be it by working as a police officer, a crime scene investigator or even a traffic regulator. Law enforcement training online will make specialized training more accessible to interested students.

2. So many choices, so few people.
Online training will not open the door to only one career path. Instead, you will have over a dozen choices, each of them with its own set of perks. If the army isn't for you, join the air force. Become a forensic analyst, a detective, an airport security officer. You could even start on your own and be a private investigator, or work in the private security sector. The sky is the limit!

3. It's almost like a refresher course.

Even if you have been working in law enforcement for years, some extra experience could never hurt. A police officer with army training is only a bonus. Knowing how to pick apart a crime scene while having your own investigation bureau will serve to endear your firm to its clients. It is possible to go from being a security guard to the head of security simply by logging on for a few hours a day and studying the material given to you.

4. I'm sorry, I have to drop the course since I've been positioned overseas.

The classes are portable so even if you were forced to change your country of residence, you could still stay on schedule for your degree. The same could be said for correspondence courses, but the internet has the added advantage of instant updates. You don't have to wait five weeks before your results are mailed back; just log in the next morning and you'll find them in your inbox.

5. It's not the way it used to be.

The speed at which our world changes makes it hard to keep up. Just as the amount of crime has increased, so has the level of danger. Most criminals have gone from knives to guns, and instead of marijuana people use meth, a substance that is far more dangerous. Online education will help keep people up to date without taking a break. After one of these law enforcement training online courses, the next person to commit identity theft won't slip by you so easily!

Piece Combat

Piece Combat

Each day it appears there is another piece of realty news to make us gasp. It seems hard to believe that home owner's equity is at it's lowest level since the Second World War, but it is and this is according to a report about the Flow of Funds that is published by the Federal Reserve.

This is good news for prospective home buyers, because if they buy at this time, the equity will rise up again, as it historically does, and their investment in realty will be increased in a hurry. The same realty increases will apply to existing home owners, property almost doubled in price over the last ten years - but how to hang in there in the meantime?

Home equity is the amount of wealth that you have accumulated in your home. An example could be shown by using a home that is appraised at $250,000. If the mortgage on this home is for $150,000 then the balance of the 'value of home' minus 'amount of mortgage' equals the equity: in this case it is $100,000.

Equity has been lost at the moment because of the national financial crisis. But it is only a loss on paper, and unless you plan to sell your home, its value will undoubtedly increase in time, as always.

This type of bad news will often encourage the skeptics bring up the 'rent versus buy' question again. There really is no battle here; it is known that it is better to own than to rent. However, in these desperate times it must be appropriate to look into the advantages of owning and buying as opposed to renting.

There is no doubt that the realty market of late has made many of us review this question. Of course, realty is not the problem, the nation-wide realty market is only reflecting the same fact that the nationwide gas increases and food price hikes are telling us: we are not in a period of affluence and growth!

However, many home-owners can close their door at night and feel secure in their own home. If the situation worsens, they know that their home can be converted into a money making business, whereas renters are strictly limited to renting.

If you own your own home you can save literally hundreds of dollars a year by growing your own vegetables. It is so simple, just dig a patch, buy seeds and sprinkle, keep the weeds at bay, water and harvest. Many areas will allow egg-laying hens (but not cockerels) in the back yard, so erect a large wire chicken house and secure a tarp over the top or convert your old garden shed. Scour the garage sales for pedal bikes if you live near enough to work to leave your car behind.

Other homeowners who do not want to give up their homes have thought of such schemes as renting out their garages, renting a room to a University student or offering room and board to a temporary worker from out of town.

Some have insulated their double garage and after the addition of drywall and carpet it can be transformed into a small suite. If you have any kind of business that you carry out from the home, you can often offset some income tax against a portion of your energy bills and mortgage payments.

Homes that have a full basement score high when the times get tough. Home owners can give up their rec room and use their downstairs bathroom to offer rental accommodation. Being able to rent even a room can cover your grocery bill and make other payments easier; a small and temporary sacrifice for a short term solution.

Absolutely none of these options is available to a renter. The rent keeps creeping up, along with the gas and food bills and there is no sacrifice that can be made.

If you do not have the type of home that lends itself to any of these choices, then you may wish to consider a move into a home that does have options. Another way to economize is to down-size into a smaller home with less energy bills that is nearer to your place of work. Also try to minimize your energy bills by line drying, cold water washing and turning off the heat.

Sometimes, mortgage terms can be extended to be paid off over a longer period of time; this makes the monthly payment less. The charge for this is sometimes added onto the final mortgage amount. Ask your lender if you have any of these options available.

Later, when realty is suddenly up in price you can re-adjust if you wish. There may be legislation that we know nothing about just around the corner! A short term struggle is always worth it because at the end of your life you will have a home that is ALL paid for and unlike renters, you can sit in your rocking chair on your own front porch and tell the stories of when you had to struggle through!

Horn Handle

Horn Handle

We were chatting with some foreign exchange traders about one of the issues affecting them while their trades were continuing and found a common issue - watching winning trades become losing trades.

As we've discussed before, if you aren't handling your foreign exchange trades, from entry point to exit point, you are going to see this happen to you - and it'll likely occur often .

Here's the root of the issue :

A trade is entered together with an initial stop loss. What most traders do is try and get ALL their profit at once, but they do not basically have a 'target' -

When the trade at first gets profitable, many traders will 'screengaze' - they get targeted on how much they've made or are making at that moment. What they do not do is plan for exiting the trade - they overstay in the trade and frequently watch their profits evaporate when the market turns against them ( and then compound that blunder by staying in EVEN LONGER to 'get back' those lose profits ). This is a losing offer in currency trading.

in short , they let greediness lead them to lose sight of the point of the trade.

what is the point of a trade? To maximise gain and minimize risk - it IS that straightforward.

Maximizing gain does not mean you exit a trade at the absolute 'Top' - it implies that for the duration the trade is on, you have a set of rules that determine where you may exit for profit - and it isn't where you suspect it is! More on that in a bit

Minimizing risk means more than only setting that primary stop loss - you need to manage your stop losses thru the duration of a trade.

When currency exchange traders enter a trade they must protect their capital first and think profit second. When their position starts trending up, they can take the right action to protect their capital AND their profits.

in fact, most successful forex traders assume they'll lose on each trade. They perform this psychological trick to be certain their risk plan is always top of mind! Once a trade turns in their favor ( much to their surprise ), the 1st steps they take is get themselves into a break-even trade situation ; followed by aggressive stop loss management to maximise their profits on the trade.

They think risk first, profit 2nd.
