Belt Sheath

Belt Sheath

As the weather wanes, many of us might be in confusion as to what we should wear.  Do you pull out the light knit sweaters and stow the tank tops?  Do you tone down the colors of your vibrant summer wardrobe?  Do you start wearing closed-toe pumps instead of strappy sandals?  Well, this article will answer all of your questions about what to wear at this time of year.  I will highlight the top five trends for late summer, early fall 2008.  You may be surprised by what you can continue to wear and what you need to put in storage for next year.

Belted Jackets.  This staple has been a fashion favorite since “Dynasty”, except our version does not have shoulder pads.  This hot look is defined by a cinched in silhouette and short sleeved or sleeveless profile.  These jackets work well with cropped trousers, a favorite dress, or a fluted skirt.  If you want to keep the look clean, wear this belted jacket in colors of white, cream, ecru and khaki.

Bright Colors + Balance.  Good news, you can still wear your sunshine yellows and hot pinks, but it is time to balance them out with a bit of neutral.  Add a beige, cream, or navy skirt or pant (no black, it’s too early in the year for that!) to a vivid top or dress to make your wardrobe a little more appropriate for this time of year.  Another option is to wear bright accessories instead of bright articles of clothing; either choice will keep your ensemble fresh.  Just remember, you cannot wear bright accessories and bright clothing, you have to pick one or the other or else you will look garish.

Disco Queen.  Seventies glam is so hip right now, but be warned the trend differs slightly for day and evening wear.  For daytime wear, be bold in statement jewelry worn around the arms, wrists, or neck.  For evening wear, relive the languid glamour of Studio 54 in glitterball sequins, gold accents, and slinky jumpsuits.  Be bold with this trend and try it all, but just not all at once!

Go Grey.  Grey is the new black for this time of year, so wear it from head-to-toe for the most dramatic effect.  Vary shades from silver to heather for a very streamlined, earthy, but fashionable effect.  Keep this sophisticated with relaxed tailoring in luxurious fabrics such as cashmere and silks.  Try this trend in fluted skirts, high-waisted pants, fitted blazers, and fedora hats.  Due to the subtly of this trend, it is appropriate to wear day or night.

Bold Prints.  Since the weather is still warm, summer dresses in bold prints are the way to go.  Keep this trend simple with a sheath dress and wear with chunky accessories for a contemporary look.  Feminine florals is contrasted well with a tailored jacket and sophisticated footwear.

So there you have it, these trends are the way to go to stay relevant and fashionable for the late summer, early fall 2008 season.  From belted jackets to fabulous prints, you will look great if you try these trends.  As with everything, a little practice will make perfect.  So feel free to experiment with a couple of trends at once, just don’t go overboard.  As always, good luck and happy shopping!

Sheath Leatherman

How do you attach the Leatherman MOLLE Sheath?

I got one for my Skeletool... figured it would attach to belt, but has a snap strap weaved through the loops that could possibly be used for a belt (sideways attachment)... or the snap webbing to hang by snapping to the belt (but would be more like dangling)...

Am I missing something?

I had exactly the same problem! I couldn't attach it either! But I took it back to the store where I bought it, and the guy showed me exactly how to do it... I've forgotten how, it was a while ago, but you could take it back and ask a shop assistant.

Leather Sheath

A fitted covering for hand with a separate sheath for each finger and thumb which provides protection and perfect grip for the rider is called motorcycling gloves. They may have gauntlets to protect the rider's wrists from injury, and help shrink drafts while riding in colder climates.

Motorcycling gloves - commonly made of leather, Cordura, or Kevlar, or some combination. Some include carbon fiber knuckle protection or other forms of stiff padding. Gloves designed specifically for motorcycle use have slightly curved fingers and the seams are on the outer surfaces to allow the motorcyclist to maintain his grip and control on the handlebars and clutch/brake levers. Some gloves also provide protection to the wrist.

Motorcycle Gloves can protect your hands. In fact, gloves are known to protect the hands of the wearer from abrasions and cuts and also offer protection and comfort from cold. Wearing a pair of gloves on the hands while going for a ride on the motorcycle is extreme, important. It allows the hands to have a better grip of the controls of the bike and thus help in maneuvering the motorcycle.

Gloves help to protect the wearer not only from cold and heat but also help to protect the hands against any damage due to fiction or abrasions and falls while riding a motorcycle.

Almost all motorcycle gloves are made from the finest leather as it is leather which is not only durable but also provides the maximum comfort and warmth during the winter months. Motorcycle gloves are helpful in mot only warding off any kind of road rashes like accidents but are considered more as a safety accessory when riding motorcycle.

Motorcycle gloves come in different varieties and are widely available in the sports shops and even on the internet. They are Full finger gloves, Perforated gloves and Road Racing/Track gloves.

Full finger gloves

Full finger gloves offer additional protection and are a favorite with the sport bike riders. The wide array of full finger gloves offers not just functional value but also caters to demanding style aspirations of motor bike riders.

Perforated Gloves

These are perhaps best suited for riding in warm weather conditions, particularly for those living in areas where the winter is short and most part of the year is warm. These gloves are ideal even for casual use on occasions other than riding your bike. While the perforated Gloves are stylish they won't appear too flashy either.

Road Racing/Track Gloves

This variant is undoubtedly the ultimate in motorcycle gloves. Apart from amazing style, they are crafted to afford maximum protection particularly in the event of an unfortunate spill. The knuckle protection and reinforced palm are particularly relevant. The seams are generally reinforced well to make sure that the gloves stay in their place in a single piece even under extreme duress.

Protection is a Must

Though the choice of weather to wear a pair of glove or not is entirely yours; most bikers do appreciate the need to wear some form of protection on their hands. Choosing a pair of gloves to answer your individual style or budget will never be a constraint, we understand this very well. What is important however is that the pair of gloves you choose should be a quality produce and do its job extremely well in ordinary as well as tough conditions.
