Two Tactical

Two Tactical

There is no right negotiating tactic if you have the wrong strategy or policy.  Strategic objectives and priorities are more important than tactics.  Yet history is full of great strategies that were defeated by poor negotiating tactics.  The two go together but are not the same.

Flexibility in the choice of your negotiating tactics is imperative.  Tactics that are right for one person are wrong for another.  Tactics that are appropriate at the start of a negotiation may prove counter productive later.  Tactics that worked yesterday may not work as well with the same person tomorrow.  Negotiating tactics that worked well in a buyers’ market may prove to be stupid in a period of short supply.

Continual reassessment is the key to good tactical planning.  I ask myself these questions over and over again in every negotiation:

1.  Can I combine tactics for better effect?

2.  Is this a good time to change tactics?

3.  How will the other party react or interpret my tactic?

4.  Will this backfire on me?

5.  If my tactic is rebuffed, will I lose face or bargaining power?  How can I minimize the loss?

The choice of tactics involves ethical questions.  Ends do not justify the means.  Unethical tactics for achieving worthwhile goals ultimately destroy the positive value of those goals. Whether they like it or not, negotiators must also be philosophers when it comes to choosing tactics.

In deciding which negotiating tactics to use, one rule should not be forgotten:

Never use a tactic unless you have considered what countermeasures the other party is likely to take.

The key to selecting good negotiating tactics is flexibility and good business judgment.

Tactical Pocket

Tactical Pocket
hello, can you recommend me a good tanto point tactical folder.?

i'm looking towards CS Recon 1 but i think its too heavy, so can you recommend me a good pocket knife that has almost a 4" blade or less and i prefer a straight edge. i plan to use as an EDC and a general purpose knife so i want a strong one but if its possible a medium priced one. thank you for all your effort.

I carry an Aegis tanto by SOG. Comes serrated and non, i opted for serrated because it cuts though rope much faster.

Price was steep but it is certainly worth it. about $90. It's my EDC knife, it's always sharp enough to shave with, and i can tell you, i don't baby my knives. It comes very sharp, and keeps an edge like no other. Light sharpening on the blade after heavy use and it'll be great for years.

They come in all different finishes and handles. Usually they all have assisted opening, which is makes 1 hand opening a snap.

I got the all black blade which looks awesome, but if you cut through wire etc, like i do it'll wear down eventually (mine has 5-6 lines where it's steel colored and not the black)

The bayonet clip is the most durable one i've had, but then again all my other EDCs were around $40-50.

Tactical Folding

Tactical Folding

The primary difference between a tactical folding knife and a folding utility knife is that the former is designed and used for combat while the latter is designed and used for other purposes.

As far as the design is concerned, the tactical folding knife normally contains a D shaped curve at the base of the blade that can be used to block the blade of the person attacking you. Needless to say, such features are not present in utility knives.

People often buy tactical folding knives thinking knife fighting is a very glamorous thing. However, it is an art that requires discipline and practice. There is nothing glamorous about fighting to save your life or your body. You should adopt a completely practical approach when buying a tactical folding knife.

Understand that there is a fundamental difference between knives designed to be thrown and knives designed to be fought in hand to hand combat. You should not throw a knife that is not designed for throwing. Keep in mind that accidentally killing a person without sufficient cause, even in self defense, will not be pardoned. Throwing a knife is risky as you cannot easily control where your knife will go. If you throw a tactical folding knife not designed for throwing, the chance of causing disproportionate injury is significantly higher.

One advantage with a folding knife is that its blade can easily be replaced if you have the necessary tools. Carrying a spare blade with you will help you repair the knife and make it functional even if the blade snaps.

Log on to the web for a wide range of knives to choose from. You can get great deals because doing business on the web is always cheaper than doing business off it.

Now Pay Close Attention Here

Folding knives can be excellent self-defense tools -- provided you know how to use them. If you are trained on how to use one, OR are planning to get yourself one, kindly visit FoldingKnives.Biz
