I, personally, like how it is appears to be even higher, but it makes more sense that it is less. I have to give the floor today and I want to be your own tie clip right on the spot.
I have the whole box and "what used to clean stuff '... It contains the toothpicks and Q-tips and such. oil you use your pistol / rifle, like Rem oil or its equivalent is OK knife. Get all the places where the rust and dirt may cause problems. Lansky makes a great sharpening system, which is set on a knife-edge blade.

I work in a bike shop and I am constantly opening bike boxes with scissors, but need something more efficient. For my b day/holidays, I was looking for either a high quality folding utility knife or folding pocket knife to cut plastic tie downs and card board boxes. Anything under the sun (money not really an object) Help?

i would recommend the folding box cutting (utility) knife simply because replacement blades are cheap other than that get a stainless Case
oh yeah and stay away from gerber knives you have to grind a new edge on them

Looking for a home can be exhausting with the excess inventory on the market. Home values have fallen and it continues to be a buyer's market. Your time is important and it can take hours each weekend attending open houses before you find the home for you. By being prepared you can utilize your time more efficiently and gather the necessary data.

When attending an open house you can expect to meet a real estate agent that is showing the home, unless it is a home that is for sale by owner. In this case be prepared to deal directly with the owner of the home. However, the majority of the time you will be dealing with the agent representing the seller.

Before leaving home you want to have a good idea of where you will be going. If you plan on viewing several homes that day you should take a few minutes to plot your trip using Google Maps, printing off directions from one place to the next.

Now that you have your itinerary planned for the day it is time to make a list of important things to look at when viewing an open house. Before stepping out of the car look at the surrounding homes; are they well kept? If the home you are viewing is the only nice looking home on the block it may affect the value later down the road. You will also want to make a note if the home is next to an industrial area or close to a busy street. This too may have a negative affect on the home's value.

When viewing the home don't be afraid to interact with the agent showing it. Find out details such as; how long the home has been on the market, age, square feet, etc. Use your nose; smell for any off odors that may indicate a problem such as pet stains or mildew. Look for water stains on both the floor boards and the ceiling. This can indicate flooding or a leak from the roof, both of which may be costly to repair if not addressed beforehand.

Examine the walls and foundation for cracks and anything out of the ordinary; for example, if one wall is painted in a room but the rest aren't it may be a sign that something is being covered up. If you are interested in the home it is important to take the time to go through it. Of course many things will be found when the home inspection is done but it doesn't hurt to know what you are getting yourself into.

Learn more about the home buying process and if you are considering buying a home in the Boise area be sure to check out the Boise Real Estate site.

I'm planning a winter wilderness camping trip this year and i was wondering if you could give me some idea's?

These are the items i'm bringing with me so far, maybe you could give me some more idea's.

1. Magnesium fire starter(water proof)
2. 30 by 30 foot tarp with 100 feet of hemp rope
3. Multi-tool with built in knife
4. 4 days worth of food(14 day trip)
5. First-aid kit
6. Thermal blacket and sleeping bag
7. Hunting knife
8. 100 feet of fishing line and 10 hooks
9. Map and compass
10. Camping gear like cup, spoon, knife, fork and so on.

Why are you bringing both a hunting knife and a multi-tool with a built in knife? This seems redundant. And consider changing our your hemp rope (will absorb water) w/ a nylon rope.

Some other things:
- hat and gloves
- layered clothing (long underwear, fleece pants and top, fleece jacket, windproof jacket - no cotton)
- backpacking stove with fuel (white gas/Coleman fuel type stoves may work better in the cold than the canister types)
- for eating utensils try only bring a large thermal mug and a spoon - the cup can act as a bowl and a cup and the spoon is a very versatile utensil and take the place of a knife to cut soft stuff and spread stuff like a knife - the fork is just redundant.
- skis or snowshoes
- a sled to put your stuff in and haul (I have used a modified "kiddie" sled in the past

Survival kit compass - Importance

The Al Mar Sere Operator borrows its design from the popular Sere 2000 folding knife and makes for one of the toughest production fixed blades on the market today. I recently got a good deal on this knife and here are my honest opinions:

What I like about the knife:

1. At 5 inches long, the S30V blade comes extremely sharp right out of the box. S30V stainless steel is one of the most treasured blade steels in the knife world today, and for good reason. The Sere Operator has no problem holding its edge even after continuous use.

2. With so many knives being made overseas nowadays, it's becoming difficult to find any made in the U.S.A. Al Mar Sere Operators are made in the United States, and the quality reflects that.

3. Your Sere Operator will be made with a full tang that extends to the end of the handle. This feature gives the knife a lot of added strength and is much less likely to break when you need it most.

4. The molded sheath is perfect for tactical and emergency operations because it will not be affected by rain, snow or sand. The belt attachment is adjustable to allow for multiple carrying options.

5. Al Mar also offers the Sere Operator with a saw on the back of the blade, which gives you added functionality for wilderness survival or emergency situations.

What I didn't like:

I would like to see this knife available with partial or full serrations, but other than that I have nothing bad to say about the Sere Operator.

Overall:

Al Mar took a proven design and turned it into one of the most trustworthy fixed blades out there. I highly recommend this knife as a camping, military or emergency tool that will last a lifetime.

You can get an Al Mar Sere Operator for $140 or less at http://www.KnifeSell.com

Thanks for reading,
