For sheath knives, there is only one way go to – Buck Knives.
They are made in the USA and they are true classics. The only downside of the Buck knives is that after they loose an edge, they are very very hard to resharpen. I think they use a high nickle carbon steel and that stuff take forever to put an edge on it.

You’ll get a lot of varying opinions so I guess I’ll throw mine in too. I have a Buck model 119 special. They sell for about 50 dollars and their guarantee is very good. I’ve owned mine for 16 years and have butchered plenty of deer with it.
It isn’t a custom knife but made to use. Custom knives are also very good but if you pay a couple hundred or more for one, it’s kind of hard to take it out in the field and possibly scratch it up.
For using, I’ll stick with my Buck knife.
